Be open or be closed, either way she'll do it 'cause she wants to or 'cause he (whether it's this boy or not) wants her to.She'll learn from it but hopefully not with the end result of a baby on the way. My 15 year old step-daughter is dating a 19 year old.Always a sobering thing for the guy to meet the parents, especially the dad! I agree about girls going for older boys for the maturity factor, I was the same at her age.I'm sure the boy in question has a lot of good qualities, all I know of him is what is on his facebook profile. I am now 19, with a daughter and STILL with my OH (28), through the good and the bad.Hiya just needed a little help my daughter is 15 and going out with an 20 year old I must add mit at 1st I was shocked iave asked to meet the lad and he seems a very nice young lad he works full time he smokes he doesn't drink and he doesn't take drugs he's old fashioned he's really fallen for my daughter so I have let her carry on being with him she knows all about sex and she knows she dose it when she's ready to do it and the lad she's with is in no rush he's add a long term g/f wot cheated on him and treated him like rubbished only concerns I have at the min is her dad dose not agree and he keeps saying he's going to ring the police and ring the social services coz she's with an older boy this as really upset both of them because they are really happy but they are worried at wot could happen me and my daughter father aren't together but me and her step father have seen a big change in my daughter she seems a lot happyer but just feeling low at wot her dad is saying to her as any 1 got any help or ideas?
In most countries it would be considered inappropriate and under certain circumstances could even be illegal. Can you and her dad talk to her about the bf, about rules and boundaries and a curfew? As PPs have said, trying to stop her will probably only push her further to him and possibly to behaviours that might not arise otherwise. The danger would be the possibility of being accused of statutory rape, or lessor sexual crimes, which could result in a jail or prison term for the 19-year-old.If the girl is 14, most likely, the 19-year-old boy will try to go to far sexually, and that can lead to problems for the both of them.
