2014 was taken up with the development of a new quiz show for Rain Media, which included filming a TV pilot for Channel 4.2015 was consumed by writing a new panto, a new musical, arranging The MTA’s annual revue and showcases, and overseeing the relocation of the college to its new site at BGAC.She now writes a regular blog about life as a working musician/Principal.Other credits since opening The MTA inc: Musical Supervisor for Robin Hood (Cambridge Touring Theatre) & Around The World in 80 Days (Scoop Theatre, London), West End Backwards (Kings Head) MD’ing a workshop of Playback the musical, and also supervising and playing on the demo album of the show.The year finished with Annemarie MD’ing’ The MTA’s Patron Ria Jones in her one woman show down at the Grand Theatre, Swansea.In 2016 Annemarie was honoured to be made a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.As ever she will also be continuing her concert work, predominantly MD’ing’ Ria Jones in various gigs across the UK.2016 has also seen Annemarie returning to her cabaret roots with the occasional appearance down at West End Wendies’ Open Mic Night.
Annemarie regularly contributes as a journalist to several publications and websites on the subject of Musical Theatre, and historically wrote a regular blog for The Public Reviews.
She has also worked at Middlesex University where she ran the module Singer As Entertainer, as well as writing a Musical Theatre module for the then Performing Arts degree.
In FE Annemarie worked at the Hertford Regional College helping them to make the transition from A Level to BTEC and contributing to the creation of the course.
Between 2007-2009 Annemarie wrote for the Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds inc: the score for Black Eyed Susan (which reopened the Theatre after its major refurbishment), plus the music/lyrics for the critically acclaimed pantomimes Cinderella and the Glass Slipper(2007), Puss in Boots (2008) and Jack and the Beanstalk (2009) all written with Daniel O’Brien.
This collaboration continued for The MTA with Aladdin (2013) and Beauty and the Beast (2014).
