In your situation, When Update Panel2 is refreshed, Update Panel1 won't refresh and so Update Panel1's On Updated will not fire.To resolve this , you can set the Update Panel1's Update Mode to "Always".: This is a private method that returns a string value. Now, since the update panel has the "tick" event defined as a trigger, it will update the image src right after the Fade Out animation completes (1/2 second) and the image caption will also update. The Fade In animation will occur once the On Updated event is raised by the Update Panel. I've attached an Update Panel Animation Extender to this 2nd Update Panel, but it does not run the animation. My problem is now that if I check checkbox1 all the items in update Panel1 are updated, not only - as I would like to - the two checkboxes in update Panel2. Although as expected an added break poi...repeater inside Updatepanel nested in another Repeater and another Updatepanel Can anyone please help. Nested Update Panels Hi My problem is how to update nested panel, without updating "master" panel. I've tested the animation when the 2nd updatepanel does not exist and it works fine.
Update Mode = Conditional is important for some reason while it give a batter performance than Update Mode = Always. Update Panel Animation Extender not running with nested Update Panels I have 1 Update Panel with update "Always" and within that I have a 2nd Update Panel that is updated when I click I click a button. the functionality should be that if I check Checkbox1, Checkbox2 should be enabled. This results in the hole of the main page doing a AJAX refresh when all I want is the User Control to do a AJAX refresh… Then a lesser worry for me, if you know,, how can I give a textbox located in A focus (cursor) after an update?
